Embrace winter this July! The school holidays are from 02- 17 July 2016 and Perth is a fantastic place for children and families. During this time there are a lot of activities occurring to keep kids learning, active, entertained and busy though out Perth. The best kid’s rides, fantastic live shows with new performers, creative activities and intriguing educational exhibits are all coming to Perth these school holidays at Kids Wonderland. Dance at the Kids Silent Disco, create some fun shapes at the Kinetic Sand Play Arena or play old arcade game in the Chill out Zone. Meet living Mermaids who tell magical stories, challenge your friends to the newest video games, enter a world of bubbles during Dr Hubble’s Bubble Show, listen to tunes from The Vegetable Plot and be amazed by extravagant acrobatics in the Bizircus show. You will find this wonderland at Hertha Rd Reserve, Cedric Street Stirling. The dates are July 9-12 and opening times 8am- 11am, 12pm-3pm, 3.45pm-6.45pm. Children enter at $25+bf and adults $10+bf.
Winter Festival brings Fremantle an enchanting experience for the young and old. The Festival runs from 24 June until 17 July 2016. Fremantle Esplanade Park will be transformed into a magical festival dedicated to the delights of a white winter. Attractions include the return of Australia’s biggest outdoor ice rink, falling snow, a pop-up slide, music and entertainment! Winter Festival is free to enter, although tickets must be purchased for ice skating and activities. Remember to wear warm and weatherproof clothing. Fremantle also hosts lots of cafes, bars and restaurants if you want to grab a bite to eat after the winter fun!
Aqua is going hi-tech with a new app that kids use as a companion while following caves and crevices, Open Ocean and coral reefs. The app creates a storybook of little visitors’ journeys that they can save, print and decorate at home. Holiday visitors can also go in the running to win an iPad mini. What a great treat for the school holidays. Aqua is located at Hillary’s Boat Harbour and is open daily between 10am- 5pm. Entry for children costs $18 and $30 for adults.
Other fun activities include checking out the Zoorassic Park at Perth Zoo, the range of activities at Scitech, head to the Western Australian Museum, the paintings and exhibits Art Gallery Western Australia, school holiday activities at Whitman Park.
